California Condor
inspired from a close encounter.... while on a road trip with a friend from Brooklyn we pulled off to admire the coast some where around Big Sur.. one of these amazing creatures flew in front of us about 3 feet away... There were some awesome bird watchers & biologists to give us a brief history of the bird. Apparently they are quite endangered (biologist said there are about 20 ) it flew so close I saw the 8 on its wing tag. Up on the north coast there is a movement by the Yurok Tribe to bring them to Nor*Cal. Fingers crossed we get some of these ENORMOUS birds locally!!
We also print this on our amazing hoodies!!!
New Designs
this design was inspired by my love of birds & their elaborate plumes... different versions to come :) I figured it would be a nice way to add some neck decor for summer without having to wear necklaces. Said from the girl that has a metal allergy & has a love for thick elaborate metal necklaces!!
audrey & tara
anyone that knows me (h.a.) knows that i love art, good art, bad art, anything that actually is visually stimulating... two of my favorites are audrey kawasaki & tara mcpherson!!! i love my ladies :)
audrey kawasaki, i have had the fortune of getting some of her work for my walls.
tara mcpherson! hands down she is absolutely adorable & rocks!!!

finally figured out a great way to share our driftwood collection with the world...
one of our favorite ways to spend time on the california coast is walking the beaches, letting nina & olive run around with us on them. it seems like we would always find some of the most amazing pieces of driftwood. Needless to say it was not long before we had quite the collection.
box with his the collection of ropes was always making bracelets + collars with his survival rope for h.a. & olive. It wasn't long before h.a. thought hmmm i would really love some plants hanging in my bathroom. Requesting box to macrame one of her pots :) soon leading to the idea to then do it for the driftwood.
the first prototype of this we actually harvested succulent from the same beach as the driftwood. unfortunately this lead to the pieces of wood splitting. that is when out love for air plants started!! like most things too we have researched a lot about them. who knew there were sooo many different varieties.
when we select pieces form the beach we try to only select ones that already have the whole for the airplant. some we leave natural, some we sand & oil... though we always have favorite ones we are always happy to see them go to new homes!!!

Octopus!!!!!!!
there is no denying our love for these magnificent beast.... definitely a force to be reckoned with in the sea.
My dear friend Vanessa Varela's love for octopus lead inspired me to make this... along with countless hours of national geographic videos of amazement... love for look of great vintage reference books...
voila, octo tako!!!

nothing-obvious is what happens when two people both originally from new england meet each other one very fated new years eve on the west coast!!
box is knot'centic (and on the left) hailing originally from rhode island but has happily called humboldt his home for over a decade. he likes old movies, cats & strawberry twizzlers. has an insane collection of old knotting books & different types of rope.
h.a. (helen anne) is image'centric hailing from new york currently calling humboldt her home for the past 2 years. often found with her head tucked inside a book, magazine or behind a camera - look at those nerdy glasses I think they say it all! she collects everything, horder will some day arriver on her door step to free her collection of dead bugs in mason jars!
nothing-obvious was the dream company from a college kid in nyc... at first I thought it was going to be a photo agency. I wanted it to be a place for amazing artista to represent themselves... fast forward a couple of years, move across the country & basically place my life into complete juxtaposition (moved form bk, nyc to klammath, ca -- google it).
With all the time on my hands on cali to create & return to simpler things (like a dark room) i started screen printing again. I started a company called t.ease & started going to festivals... realizing people loved my prints as much (sometimes more) than I did. This is when my original idea evolved into making it an artist collective, and migrated again into nothing-obvious.
formed from the work from some of my oldest friends & some of the amazing ones I am meeting along my festival journeys. taking everything life has to offer me & turning it into other amazing things that I hope inspire others!!
